Living in both the United States and Egypt has given me a wealth of life experiences to draw from, a unique outlook on life, and a unique vision in my films. One of my most memorable experiences was being in Cairo during the Egyptian Revolution, protesting in Tahrir Square, and celebrating in the streets when the president abdicated.
